Why can't I see the QR Code?
When setting up your AirTouch Beam device, the app will prompt you to scan a QR code to begin pairing. If you’re unable to scan or see the QR code, there may be a few possible reasons:
1. Camera Permissions
- Ensure the AirTouch Beam app has permission to access your device’s camera. You can check and enable this in your phone’s app settings.
2. Device Readiness
- Make sure your AirTouch Beam is powered on and in pairing mode. The LED indicator should be blinking cyan.
- You can confirm this by checking your phone’s Wi-Fi list for a network named:
AT BEAM [XXXXXX]
3. QR Code Detection Issues
If the QR code is visible but not being detected by the app, try the following:
-
Adjust the lighting: Ensure there is enough light, but avoid glare or heavy shadows.
-
Use a plain background: Place the QR code (from the device or box leaflet) on a flat, uncluttered surface.
-
Stabilize your device: Keep your hand steady. Resting your elbow or placing the phone on a solid surface may help.
-
Align your camera: Make sure the camera is level with and directly facing the QR code.
-
Adjust distance: Start at a medium distance and slowly move your phone closer or farther until it focuses.
-
Clean your lens: Wipe the camera lens gently with a soft cloth to ensure clarity.
